Mileslife, a mobile app for both Android and iOS devices that allows you to earn miles in 12 frequent flyer programmes by dining in participating restaurants, has launched in Singapore. The concept is simple and allows users to have their miles posted to the frequent flyer account within 3 to 5 days from date of purchase. So far, MilesLife is available with partner merchants in Singapore, Beijing and Shanghai with plans to grow within Asia.
In Singapore, there is a growing list of restaurants to choose from including those from the Crystal Jade Group, Long Chim in Marina Bay Sands as well as the dining outlets in Capella Singapore such as Cassia, Bob’s Bar and The Knolls. You earn 1 to 3 miles per S$1 spent on these outlets.
Aside from this, you can also earn miles with non-dining partners including Universal Studios Singapore, S.E.A. Aquarium and even with the Sentosa cable car rides. One ticket to Universal Studios Singapore for example earns you 100 miles.
So how exactly do the miles get registered? After signing up for an account and storing your credit card details in the app, just go and dine with one of the restaurant partners. When getting the bill, pay using the app and your miles will be posted directly in your frequent flyer account within 3 to 5 days.
On top of the miles that you earn through the app, you can also double dip through credit card points. As of this writing, purchases through Mileslife are not yet classified as “online transactions” but this will change soon. When that is in place, good credit cards that come to mind are the DBS Women’s World MasterCard (4 miles per S$1) or the UOB Preferred Platinum Visa (4 miles per S$1).
As the app has just launched in Singapore, Mileslife is giving 4x more miles for purchases done through the app until 9th July 2017. This means that, instead of the 3 miles per S$1 earned in some dining outlets, users can potentially get up to 12 miles per S$1. Also, sign up with my code “IWANDER ” HERE to earn 1000 bonus miles!
