Scoot is Singapore Airline’s budget carrier arm. The airline flies to many regional destinations as well as some long-haul. The carrier has even started to fly to places such as Honolulu, Athens and Berlin. The bulk of the food offerings with Scoot is pretty much standardized. The only exception are those routes that are too far or where the plane isn’t making a direct turnaround back to Singapore. For these flights, the food menu gets a bit interesting.

Those flying on Scoot’s ex-KIX (Osaka) get a treat in terms of a special menu with hot meals that are entirely distinct from those the carrier offers on any other route. The main reason for this is that the aircraft for ex-KIX flights don’t immediately come from Singapore and as such, Scoot needs to get a caterer from KIX to prepare the meals. The aircraft ex-SIN usually comes from either Taipei or Honolulu.
