12 Best Christmas Turkey 2025 in Singapore for Takeaway and Delivery

November 25, 2025 by Bino Leave a Comment

No holiday feast is complete without a large platter of turkey for the family. Especially in this time of year when Christmas gatherings and home parties are in full swing, you may wish to order a roasted turkey to feed guests visiting your home for the holidays.

With the past year’s recurring theme of inflation, I am surprisingly seeing many hotels and restaurants keep turkey prices stable this year. I am even seeing a few vendors offering their turkeys at slightly lower prices, albeit with fewer side dishes to go along with the bird or with a smaller turkey this time.

Whether it is a Thanksgiving feast, Christmas party with friends or an intimate holiday dinner with family, check out this selection of turkeys for 2025. Many of these vendors deliver as well.

Most Succulent Christmas Ham 2025 in Singapore With Takeaway & Delivery For Your Festive Feasting

November 23, 2025 by Bino Leave a Comment

Along with the log cake and turkey, the festive ham is another must-have dish during Christmas. The huge chunk – usually pork but may also be chicken or turkey – is either wet or dry cured and may or may not be smoked. There are many variations of ham available and all are generally considered acceptable for Christmas. There have also been deviations from the original honey-glazed hams. Some restaurants and hotels have rolled out hams with a local flair for instance, and I’ve aimed to list some of the noteworthy ones down below.

Updated Afternoon Tea Promotions in Singapore (Festive December 2025 Edition)

November 10, 2025 by Bino 1 Comment

Few other things are as evocative of the leisurely life as spending the afternoon socializing with friends and family over scones, cakes and finger sandwiches laid out nicely on a three-tier stand. Afternoon teas have only increased in popularity following the new normal as more folks take it slow and focus more on personal wellness.

In this article, I try to show all the updated afternoon tea offerings at the moment. For the month of November and December, some hotels are starting to roll out their Christmas-themed afternoon tea promotions.

As WFH becomes less common, afternoon teas are reverting to their original place as mainly weekend affairs so it is advisable to book ahead if you wish to come on a Saturday or Sunday. Weekday seatings are usually not booked out, but it is advisable to check ahead as there are hotels that have made their afternoon tea sets available only on weekends.

Hotel Review: Kaipuu Belfry (七栩钟楼酒店) – Quanzhou’s Most Exclusive Boutique Hotel

November 9, 2025 by Bino Leave a Comment

Located right in the heart of the old town of Quanzhou, a UNESCO World Heritage city in China’s Fujian province, Kaipuu Belfry is a relatively new hotel that opened in 2023 under Lohkah Hotels. Lohkah is an independent chain that runs another Kaipuu hotel along the coast of Fujian as well as another hotel in Xiamen. While the chain’s other properties tend to focus on their resort-like atmosphere, the Kaipuu Belfry plays up its heritage, as it is converted from an old department store that dates back from 1979.

The property was designed by local designer Xie Ke and consists of just 48 rooms. It is also a member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World (SLH). The belfry in the hotel name refers to the two towers of the nearby Kai Yuan Temple which is within view from the hotel rooftop as well as certain room categories.

Food Review: terra Tokyo Italian (2025) – NEW Ala-Carte Format

November 8, 2025 by Bino Leave a Comment

As the F&B scene in Singapore evolves, I have witnessed how many high-end restaurants have resorted to offering abridged versions of their tasting menus or even ala-carte versions. terra Tokyo Italian is one of those venues, having recently launched their more accessible ala carte dinner menus as well as lunch sets that start from just S$45. I visited terra after a year to check out the new menu, prepared by their new chef – Shozo Sugano – who had trained in Italy for 8 years.

Hotel Review: Pullman Singapore Orchard & Pullman Express Staycation Package

November 1, 2025 by Bino Leave a Comment

Located right smack in the center of Orchard Road, Pullman Singapore Orchard blends modern luxury with a vibrant, forward-looking energy. The hotel is perfectly positioned for travelers who want to be in the center of Singapore’s premier shopping district yet still enjoy a sense of calm once inside as the main entrance does not face Orchard Road per se.

Prior to this stay, I had not stepped foot into Pullman Singapore Orchard. The last time I was there was during its past incarnation as Grand Park Orchard and I could not be more astounded by the renovation that took place. From the moment I stepped foot into the lobby, I was struck by the sleek and contemporary design — a mix of bold art, polished finishes and neon lights that gives the property a distinctly upscale but cosmopolitan feel. All throughout, Pullman’s heritage in train travel is still evident through subtle elements, such as in the lounge area, ceiling of Eden Restaurant and the headboards in the guestrooms.  My stay here was a weekend escape to unwind and explore the Pullman Express package, this being my first stay in this property.

Officially known as Pullman Express – Singapore Unlocked, the staycation package comes with the following inclusions:

  • Upgrade to a Deluxe Premier Room
  • Breakfast in bed (guests can also choose to have breakfast in Eden)
  • Early check-in at 10 am and late check-out at 2 pm
  • An “Unplugged Hour” ritual kit consisting of workbooks centered around wellness and reflection
  • In-room fitness kit
  • 2 mocktails at Atelier Lounge & Bar
  • SGD 100 dining credits at Eden Restaurant, Atelier Lounge & Bar or P.S.O. Beach Club
  • Sleep Well kit consisting of skincare masks and sleep spray
  • In-room Northern Lights projection
  • Mindful walking map
  • 1 Complimentary parking per stay

Review: Ki-sho (葵匠) 9-Course Kappou Dinner Menu

October 22, 2025 by Bino Leave a Comment

Dining at Ki-sho isn’t merely about eating—it’s an immersion into kappo-style omakase, where every course unfolds like a scene in a poetic performance. New Chef Taro Takayama’s new 9-course dinner menu (S$360++) is a study in transformation and transience, channeling the Japanese philosophy of mujo—impermanence. I return to Ki-sho after 8 months to check out how the venue has evolved. This time, I discover how each dish flows naturally into the next, capturing fleeting moments through seasonal ingredients, delicate textures and restrained yet emotional presentation.

Food Review: Restaurant Jag – Reimagined Botany in Robertson Quay

October 10, 2025 by Bino Leave a Comment

Visiting Restaurant Jag after 3 years, in its current space at the second floor of STPI, I could not help but immediately make the comparisons with its previous Duxton Road incarnation. The previous one was cozy, even tiny and as it was in a heritage shophouse, it was also rather dim. That is such a contrast from the Restaurant Jag of today. After moving to Robertson Quay in 2023, the new space – while still in a heritage shophouse, takes up the corner unit with plenty of windows for diners to gaze out and admire views of the Singapore River.

As a Michelin-starred restaurant, the venue has all the trappings that this title suggests – beautiful interiors, a well thought-out menu by Executive Chef Laurence Tan and superb service. The latter is especially admirable and I have to say, even within the sphere of Michelin-starred restaurants, Jag is probably at another level when it comes to anticipating guests’ needs. Again, I was impressed by how the staff remembered all my dietary restrictions during the course of the meal. They’d also notice how I devoured (or didn’t) each course and would ask for my feedback whenever there was a dish that I did not seem to like as much as the others. No words from me but they had an uncanny way of telling.

During this particular dinner at Restaurant Jag, I had their Grand Dinner Tasting Menu which had 14 “experiences” in all – consisting of full-fledge courses plus palate cleansers along the way. Restaurant Jag’s Autumn Tasting Menu is an elegant journey through seasonal produce, executed with finesse and a sense of storytelling.
