When it comes to Kuala Lumpur hotels, none can probably top the grandeur of the St. Regis Kuala Lumpur. I stayed in the property a couple of months back during a short trip to KL and it remains to this day one of my most memorable hotel stays ever. Here’s why:
#1: The Butler Service

A hallmark of St. Regis properties, I was greeted by one of the butlers who escorted me directly to my room for check-in formalities. As if that wasn’t enough, the butler also took care of my laundry needs, helped me with unpacking and delivered any drinks request I had – yes, even the late night requests for hot chocolate!
#2: Sunday brunch at The Brasserie

While there is no shortage of hotel buffets in Kuala Lumpur, one that stands out for its refined tastes and unabashed luxury is the Sunday brunch at The Brasserie. The brunch doesn’t come cheap but you get to indulge in fin de claire oysters, bamboo shells as well as Veuve Clicquot champagne.
#3: Relaxing at Iridium Spa

One of the highlights of my stay at the St. Regis Kuala Lumpur was my session at the Iridium Spa. Not only do the treatment rooms include a jacuzzi for salt baths but procedures such as the Polo Conoisseur were also highly effective in relieving fatigued muscles.
#4: Having not one but two swimming pools to choose from
One of the things that bother me about some hotels is how the swimming pool can get crowded very easily especially during midday. The St. Regis Kuala Lumpur has two pools sitting next to each other. During my stay, I never found the pool area to be too crowded due to the large space allocated for recreation.
#5: Being next door to KL Sentral Station
Being just next door to the KL Sentral Station means that a train ride from the hotel to the airport would last no more than 32 minutes (in contrast to a car ride which may take an hour or more).
#6: The outrageously huge St. Regis Suite
Many properties out there can boast of decadent rooms but there’s nothing quite like the St. Regis Suite. It comes with its own massage room located next to the bath while the standalone soaking tub beckons with panoramic views.
