From 1st to 10th June 2017, Chef Chan Hon Meng, who recently got a Michelin star for the Hong Kong Soya Sauce Chicken Rice & Noodle stall at Chinatown Complex, will be whipping up his signature soya sauce chicken at Town Restaurant’s dinner buffet at The Fullerton Hotel Singapore.
I recently went down to Town Restaurant for a preview of the collaboration. I have been curious to try Hong Kong Soya Sauce Chicken Rice & Noodle since it got the Michelin star but never mustered enough to resolve to queue for hours at the Chinatown Complex stall.
Hence, this was my first time to actually try the soya sauce chicken and I can say I understand now what the whole commotion is about. The sauce is unmistakably sweet and rather addicting. Add the tender and juicy chicken meat into the mix and you got yourself a winning dish.
Apart from the soya sauce chicken, the buffet at Town Restaurant will have your usual sections including Japanese and Italian.
There is also a cold seafood section for those looking to have crustaceans or a variety of shellfish.
Town Restaurant is well known for its local dishes and these are well-represented as well in the buffet.
For carnivores out there, this large slab of roast beef is waiting to be eaten.
The dinner buffet takes place from 1 to 10 June 2017, 6.30 p.m. to 10.30 p.m. at S$56++ per adult and S$28++ per child (6 to 11 years old) from Sunday to Tuesday; S$69++ per adult with a seafood selection and S$34++ per child, or S$89++ per adult with free-flowing draught beer and Singapore Slings, and S$44++ per child from Wednesday to Saturday.
