Many families and friends use the Christmas season to meet up and reunite with a nice festive meal at home. There’s practically no skipping the turkey, ham and log cake when it comes to intimate Christmas gatherings. This year, expect some pretty creative flavors such as satay or salted egg on the turkey while those yearning for more traditional creations will likewise be spoilt for choice.

Singapore Marriott Tang Plaza
Making its debut this year, the luscious and aromatic Lavender Roast Turkey with Orange, Apple & Cinnamon Stuffing (S$198 net) is one of the more unique turkey renditions I’ve seen for the season. A healthier flavor, the 4.5kg turkey is roasted to perfection with lavender that balances out the flavor profile. Lavender emits a wonderful aroma, gives a slight floral twist to the fragrance, and enhances the richness of the Christmas bird. The turkey also comes with a fruity twist through the roasted oranges, apples, lemon, bread and cinnamon stuffing.
