Low-cost carrier Norwegian announces today the launch of nonstop flights between Singapore (SIN) and London Gatwick (LGW) starting from 28th September 2017.
The airline also announced introductory fares for the new route – from as low as SGD 199 (from Singapore) one-way in Economy Class and $839 in Premium Class. Both fares are inclusive of taxes and surcharges. The new Singapore – London route will make use of the airline’s Boeing 787 Dreamliner.
This is quite possibly the cheapest option from Southeast Asia to Europe at the moment. Flights to the UK are usually ~10% more expensive than flights to Continental Europe.
Personally, I have pretty good impressions of Norwegian even though it is a low-cost carrier. I still have fond memories of my flights with them in the past. I can get onboard entertainment if I wanted and WiFi is free for flights within Europe. The planes are also usually new and very clean.
